Scafell Pike

I received a call from Frncois Greff, who runs a charity called Good 4 you, which helps disabled people. www.good4you.org.uk
He asked me if I would be interested in going to the top of Scafell Pike the highest mountain in England 3000 plus ft, in my wheel chair(special designed chair) without a hesitation I said yes!
Saturday morning 7th Oct, rainy and cold a team of about 30 male and females set of pulling and pushing me up to the top, then holding me back on the way down.
The first pic is of Francois and johan Kriek who was the team leader, every one done the most incredible job of keeping me safe, working as hard as I have ever seen a team work together, to get to the top, then all the way back down. In a time of 5 hours on the way up and 3 hours on the way down, total 8 hours.
We were the first ever people to the top of Scafell Pike in a wheelchair.
We raised £11.600 for the charity Good 4 you, money has gone to helping pay for disabled volunteers, and to pay for one disabled person to study for a masters degree!
I had an awesome time, and thank the team for making it happen.

GA races, training

Cedartown 5K June 29th fantastic race, but unfortunately for me, my left hand glove broke in two, so not a good finish for me! Peach Tree 10K in Atlanta 5th place in my category, It is always a fun race, then brunch at the shepherd center.
Rest of the time in Cedartown was spent training with Krige, which was awesome!
Cool time with Mark and Sam as usual, young Stetson getting his head shaved like mine!!!
Mark and I being pulled over by the police for cycling to fast....
